SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Anastasia (Natassa) Kanellou, MSc, has served as Deputy Administrator of the “Agia Sophia” Children’s Hospital since 2025, as well as Vice President of the hospital’s Board of Directors. She holds a Master’s Degree in Management from the University of the Aegean and is a graduate of the Pedagogical Department of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She has specialized expertise in Special Education, with an emphasis on children with mobility difficulties.
Maintaining a long-standing strong interest in scientific development and innovation in education, she has attended numerous specialization and training programs in the fields of Special Education, Information Technology, the Information Society, and Public Administration. At the same time, she has developed systematic scientific activity, participating as a speaker in conferences of national and international scope, while also having authored work and published articles in journals.
During the period 2022–2025, she served as Deputy Administrator at the General Hospital of Athens “Korgialenio-Benakio Hellenic Red Cross”, while in 2022 she also assumed the duties of Vice President of the Board of Directors of the same hospital, with active participation in administrative coordination, the organizational support of hospital operations, and the promotion of scientific initiatives. For many years, she directed large primary education school units of the Municipality of Athens.
Her scientific background, strengthened by targeted training in matters of education and administration, supports a long career in the exercise of administrative duties in complex public-sector environments.
Specifically, through local government, she served as Community Councilor of the 6th Community of the Municipality of Athens during the period 2019–2023, President of the Secondary School Committee of the 6th Municipal Community, playing an active role in the administrative supervision and support of school units, as well as President of the Board of Directors of the Friendship Club of Amerikis Square, offering services to senior citizens.
